Summers over

So it's the end of Summer and Fall is getting ready to begin.
I am sure there will be loads of activties to write about. But for now I will finish with September. The beginning of September started with a trip to Sea World. Where Ernie and I met up with Uncle Billy and Lillie.
We took Evan with us. So as the pictures will show we saw Sea World through his young eyes. Ernie and I ended September with a trip to St George Utah. Our Sweet friends John and Barbara Barnum celebrated 60 years of marriage. So we drove to St George for the Ho Down and the fun.
I also have a few family shots from my trip to saw farewell to my sweet Aunt Dale. Our end of the month pick me up do include a trip to Disneyland. I am looking forward to a wonnderful Fall. And for all of you looking for Family news, Ryan is working hard and is doing well. Dante is making life changes and they seem to be good ones. We are feeling blessed and thankful for the Gospel in our lives and all the wonders of a wondrful Heavenly Father.

Farewell for now Aunt Dale

This past week was a sad and happy week.
My sweet Aunt Dale passed away. As she moves on and meets with her son Allen and the rest of the family on the other side.
She will be so missed here, However the reunion is the best to see those who have passed before her. As I was up north with my family and watching my Dad. It made me sad that he is watching his family get smaller.
He is so amazing to me, he has a strong heart (which seems to be a Diaz thing). I am so thankful that he was willing to drive Aunt Honey and Uncle David. Since we know that we are all getting to an age where we can't do what we used to, and they are no able to make these long drives..
It also was a happy time for all those who were able to visit with each other. I am thankful for that time to renew our family spirit and laugh together. It's fun to see the growth in our family as the next generation grows and marries and has children.
While we were together Lisa and I counted 32 cousins. (3 have passed on). Wouldn't be be wonderful if we had s cousins reunion.
A time to visit and share stories and love together. If you have any ideas please pass them along. Now I am back to the work world. But my heart is still with my family. Love to all

Friends and resturants

It all started on 8/8/08:
We went to a great party for Moe's birthday (I am sad to report I have no pictures) But we had a wonderful time, lots of good food, dancing and fun.
We enjoyed seeing old friends and catching up on new stories and old.
We missed some friends that couldn't make it. The night was great. What a job the girls did.
Then 8/13 we got together with Moe and Bob and David for Debbie's birthday. There are pictures of that . What a wonderful time we had in that resturant. Good food and Friends. What a great meal. Debbie was surprised to see us all there. (don't mess it up Debbie's birthday is really on the 14th. this was just the best day to get together.) There was talking and laughing and eating. Oh yeah and presents. Great Cake.
Well summer is moving along and we needed together with Jovaune before he went back to Ohio. So on the 20th we had dinner out at Phil's.
It seems by the pictures that J liked the food. It's hard getting this group together. Kim and Rachel and Ernie and I . I think I spend most of the month getting small parties together. After dinner we went to Ocean Beach and walked on the sand and chatted in the water. I sure hope that they can all join us on the cruise that we have planned in Feb.
Then I went to Tucson for the weekend, pictures to follow. The last weekend of the month. We took Evan to Sea World. What a way to see the shows through the eyes of an 18 month old. He was so fun and Ernie and I were able to hang out a little with Uncle Billy and Lillie. Yes there will be pictures. We even managed to get some things done around the house.
On a sad note, Ernie finally send his Red truck to a new home. He had that truck for about 16 years and it was been sitting for the last five. With the price of gas ( 8 miles to the gallon). Ernie decided to sent to Father Joe to help in job training and to see a new life rise up from an old friend. More then Ernie were sad about this even our neighbors were sad. We all stood and watched as it left it's home.
Sept is getting ready to begin and we have some fun plans. Let's see what happens. I am sure I'll blog it.
