Summers over

So it's the end of Summer and Fall is getting ready to begin. I am sure there will be loads of activties to write about. But for now I will finish with September. The beginning of September started with a trip to Sea World. Where Ernie and I met up with Uncle Billy and Lillie. We took Evan with us. So as the pictures will show we saw Sea World through his young eyes. Ernie and I ended September with a trip to St George Utah. Our Sweet friends John and Barbara Barnum celebrated 60 years of marriage. So we drove to St George for the Ho Down and the fun. I also have a few family shots from my trip to saw farewell to my sweet Aunt Dale. Our end of the month pick me up do include a trip to Disneyland. I am looking forward to a wonnderful Fall. And for all of you looking for Family news, Ryan is working hard and is doing well. Dante is making life changes and they seem to be good ones. We are feeling blessed and thankful for the Gospel in our lives and all the wonders o...

Farewell for now Aunt Dale

This past week was a sad and happy week. My sweet Aunt Dale passed away. As she moves on and meets with her son Allen and the rest of the family on the other side. She will be so missed here, However the reunion is the best to see those who have passed before her. As I was up north with my family and watching my Dad. It made me sad that he is watching his family get smaller. He is so amazing to me, he has a strong heart (which seems to be a Diaz thing). I am so thankful that he was willing to drive Aunt Honey and Uncle David. Since we know that we are all getting to an age where we can't do what we used to, and they are no able to make these long drives.. It also was a happy time for all those who were able to visit with each other. I am thankful for that time to renew our family spirit and laugh together. It's fun to see the growth in our family as the next generation grows and marries and has children. While we were together Lisa and I counted 32 cousin...

Friends and resturants

It all started on 8/8/08: We went to a great party for Moe's birthday (I am sad to report I have no pictures) But we had a wonderful time, lots of good food, dancing and fun. We enjoyed seeing old friends and catching up on new stories and old. We missed some friends that couldn't make it. The night was great. What a job the girls did. Then 8/13 we got together with Moe and Bob and David for Debbie's birthday. There are pictures of that . What a wonderful time we had in that resturant. Good food and Friends. What a great meal. Debbie was surprised to see us all there. (don't mess it up Debbie's birthday is really on the 14th. this was just the best day to get together.) There was talking and laughing and eating. Oh yeah and presents. Great Cake. Well summer is moving along and we needed together with Jovaune before he went back to Ohio. So on the 20th we had dinner out at Phil's. It seems by the pictures that J liked the food. It's hard getting this group to...

Hot Hot And Hot Tucson

Well I went to Tucson for the weekend. And I can just say HOT. 101 degrees. I went to see a friend from high school that I haven't seen or talked to in 30 years. Her name is Colleen, But I still call her Cokey. I had a great time, Friday after I landed and my parents picked me up. I was able to get one of my favorite things a Sonic Slushie, Yum. Then on my way to meet Cokey. She looks the same to me. We hung out and did just what we did in High School drive all over town in the car. So we chatted and laughed and told old stories and got hungry. We met up with the families at " My Big Fat Greek Resturant". There was a group of ten. What fun we had telling stories and eating wonderful food. We all felt sorry for our server, not only did she have to serve such a crazy bunch, but when the greek music started she had to dance around the resturant with her fellow servers. Then there was the food that she had to light up with fire and booze. Opa! She earned her tip for...

That crazy weekend

It was the weekend of July 25th. My sweet friend Linda's Birthday weekend. The girls get together for all the birthdays, and this one was no different. Our plan was to go and see the King and I and have lunch together. Later that evening we met at Harrah's Rincon to see Patti Labelle. Now the best laid plans: Here comes the kicker. Our Sweet Dante calls and asks to stay at the house. (No Prolbem). Later he calls and adds four other people to the guest list. Then informs me that I am going to cook foreveryone, (if I was going to be home that would be no trouble and fun). So the first wave arrives at 3:00AM and the second wave at 5:00Am. The dance group Dante and friends need to be in Del Mar about 7:45AM. Here we go getting everyone up and out the door. Remember we have 1 bathroom. To see the King and I we need to leave our home at 10:00Am. It's about an hour away. We get to the Lawerence Welk Theater and have a wonderful lunch. The show was so fun an...

Autism Tree Project Foundation

Saturday July 12th was the day and we were ready. Tim and Karen had laid a great foundation and all we had to do was follow their lead. As you see in the pictures we had a great time. There is a picture of a little boy that was scared for a minute, but jumped into Ernie's arms and found peace. There is a picture of Ernie and Evan getting into the jumpy. And then the cooking started. Here we go. Ernie and I think we cooked and served about 500-700 Hot Dogs. We enjoyed it so much. That we could feel it all the way down to our leggs and feet. Hahaha We are planning on what we could do to up our game for next year. What a blessing it is to serve the Lord's special spirits. Our hearts were so full that when we talk about the joy that we recived from this day it leaks out of our eyes. Karen,Tim, Todd, and Dayna what an amazing thing you all do. The blessing are truly felt. I know that your hearts too are full. Ernie and I are blessed to be a small part of a wonderful team....
