It's Hotter then July on July 1st

Today is the first of July and in true Heather fashion I am planning for Christmas and trips into the new year. Yes I know there are lots of things going on before. This weekend is the last of the fair and Ernie and I will be checking out Bizz singing, Stacy dancing and Mark putting people under hypnosis. Not to mention Ernie needs to eat yet another Pinks Hot dog. We are also thinking about buying a house, so looking around at what is available in our price range and the neighborhoods we would like to live. Yes we will miss our home on the hill. We have been there for the past 16 years. Also we would like to stay in the same ward. There are few things that re important to us. Enough room for the Almost Christmas Eve party every year and for those instant Wii parties and a back patio. It almost sounds like we don't live inside at all. It has been a quiet month, however summer is not over yet. This weekend it going to Hot or San Diego. So maybe I 'll just relax, get real not a c...

All about the Arts

Its summer time in San Diego and I am ready for it. The fair is getting ready to start and I am not working, however I do plan to hang out there a few times. Below is a fund riser that Ryan is working on and the time is short. Please take the time to watch the video and if you can donate $10.00 or more. He is really doing his best to bring dance and arts back into the schools. Since so many schools have had their budgets cut. Ryan and his business partner Kevin are doing these films in hopes that they can bring the arts into schools on film and not have to pay dancers to perform every time. So if you can help out or know someone who can please share his link with them. http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indiegogo.com%2FFund-Ryan-Becks-Latest-Film&h=0c78d Fund Ryan Beck's Latest Film -- IndieGoGo www.indiegogo.com Fund Ryan Beck's Latest Film -- IndieGoGo www.indiegogo.com Fund Ryan Beck's Latest Film -- IndieGoGo www.indiegogo.com

Service, Snow , Friendship and Food.

I just returned from Provo, Utah. Many people asked me why I was going to Provo. I guess because I am not a person that skis or snowboards. As a gift to me this year I asked Ernie to fly me to Women's Conference. I have spend a few times attending this amazing conference and this year was no different. Women gather from all around the world to be refilled with the spirit. About 23thousand woman attended this year. The first day was about 39 degrees as I got out of the car and stat red walking toward the Marriott Center I was finally cold. Since freezing is 32 degrees. I went back to car for a jacket, however by the first break this wasn't needed. It warmed up to about 70. I was interviewed on my way to hear John and Kim Bytheway. The topic was keeping the Covenants we have made. Such good stuff. After that talk came another good talk. So much to do and listen too. I meet some really amazing women. That evening I had a wonderful dinner with Charly and Chelcie. It really fills my...

Spring time in San Diego

Here it is the end of April and life is so full. Ernie and I are planning a fun weekend of family and friends. Friday night the yearly Good Friday and egg dinner with Bob and Moe. Saturday night the ward dinner with an Asian theme. Easter Sunday at April and Arnold's house for dinner. In between I will be teaching the lesson in RS and Ernie will have to run home and cook up our part of the dinner. Then that evening a small meal with Ryan and Anthony. I am planning my trip to Salt Lake City for the Women's Conference. Right now it seems I am attending alone. I look forward to seeing Sister Carr and Family for dinner at the Red Ingunna, my favor tie Mexican joint in SLC. Then off to the Hotel Hunt. I am so thankful for Ryan and his family to put up with me doing these crazy visits. I am hoping to see the Nutz sisters Thursday night and then the Cannadays Saturday for lunch and back to San Diego. Ernie is going the next weekend to Phoenix to see Book'em Dano and have three foo...

Blue and White

White sandy beaches and Deep blue water. Great fun while at sea. As we ended the family vacation this year all I could say is when do I start planning the next one. We left San Diego on a cool sunny Sunday afternoon. Ryan's birthday the day before and Ernie's coming up on Tuesday. We had a wonderful first day aboard the Carnival Spirit. The super bowl plying in the lounge. And dinner with Helene and Sargene. The next day after alittle sun we really took the day to rest and relax. Played some silly on board games. Had a wonderful time at the Captians reception. We meet a wonderful singer from Chicago. What a voice and sang old school. Took the family vacation photo. I really like that everyone gets dressed up. Ernie, Ryan and Dante looked smooth. Ernie and I took the ballroom dance class. Today while in Cabo San Lucas I leaned that snorkling is not the sport for me. However it was beautiful and I did see lots of fish. The crew on our boat was some kind of fun. The water ...

Christmas Past

The holidays are behind us and the new year looks bright. At the Beck house we had the Almost Christmas Eve Party. We ate allot and played a lot. The Ladies can brag for another year. Thanks guys. Debra was our ringer this year for sure. The men are talking about getting together to practice for the next year. It's always so much fun to get together and play. I have to thank everyone for helping me get it all done this season. I wasn't feeling in tip top shape. However I am feeling better and looking forward to the new year and all the joy that comes with it. The family is gearing up for a vacation. And since Ernie really like not having to drive and fly. We are going on another cruise. The deals are still out there. I found it is cheaper to go on a cruise for Ernie and I then it would be to just pay for the airline ticket to Arkansas for one of us. That makes it a deal. We don't have to put out the cost for a hotel, dinner, car and gas. It's the way to go. I wish there...

Tamale Reunion 2010

It was the best weekend in a long time. The cousins came from the north west the south east ans the north east and even from the neighboring town. As we all landed at Aunt Honey's house the fun began. The meet and greet was fun on Friday night. We joined together to eat at the local sizzler and filled a table of love. There were about 20 of us there. After that we shredded meat and went to the hotel to get some sleep. The next morning as we met in the hotel for breakfast the laughter began, so through out the day we laughed on. We started out making cleaning the husks for the tamales and getting pans out, the aprons were beautiful and fun. Aunt Honey called us all in the kitchen to see the chili. what a hoot. As we worked to get tamales put together and ready to steam. Lisa and I set up lunch and the living room for the games. We played Diaz Family Bingo and everyone was quite serious about the game. Maybe they just wanted to win the prizes. We gave away gifts for those who came th...
