April Fool of Surprises

I have to say the month started out with some sad news.
We lost Ernest Beck Sr. He lost his fight with Parkensen's.
So then Ernie and I took off to Arkansas. This was a crazy trip first we hung out in the airport for hours (9). We were flying stand by.
Then we finally got on the plan and made it to Alanta GA and got the hopper plane into Little Rock AR. When arrived about 8:30AM. We started this trip 4:30AM the day before. To the hotel and off to the service. (thanks Dawn for the tickets)
After the service we and a meal with Ernie's family. Back to the hotel for some needed rest. Checked in at the airport to find that since there was a bad storm rolliong through the area. So we took a flight back toward home that afternoon. We had to fly into Orange County and then take a train to San Deigo.  Thank you Anthony for picking us up at 1AM.
While we were out of CA my brother Rodney and sister Karen arrived from NE. We were able to see them for a little dinner on Thursday night.
Friday started with the girls joining me on a trip to Pasadena CA for Time Out for Women. We arrived in time to have a good meal and attend a spiritual evening of music and testimonies. Saturday we did it all day long. I so enjoyed the trip with the girls of chatting and laughing and feeling the spirit. Its so amazing to see the  gospel in action. This year at TOFW we donated food to feed kids that other wise may not have anything to eat for the weekend. Together as a group we had enough food donated to feed 1600 families  6 meals. It always brings joy to heart when I see a small act of kindess turn into a big reward.
Returned to San Diego in  time for Church and a family meal.
I love having everyone over and I am happy that good food always brings us closer. You can't go wrong with Mojo Chicken Tacos.
Ernie and I are geeting back into the groove. Ernie's garden is growing and he is enjoying tending to it. He is growing all the regular items; lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, spinich, potatos, squash, pumpkins, beets, leeks and onions. And a host of herbs. He also has blueberries and soon grapes, raseberries and blackberries.
So we might have our own farmers market by next year.
It has been a month of family and friends and we have felt the love and prayers from everyone. Spend a little time this week and share love with those that are around you. If you have had a  little bad blood. It's time to make peace and enjoy each other.
I pray that our next month well be full of happy news.
