Beck Bunch Homestead

As many of you now know we have bought a new home. We are really going to miss our house on the hill. We didn’t plan this, however life happens and the trust is thinking about selling the houses on hill once Sid passes away. Our sweet Sid is now 95 years old. So as his sunsets and ours is still mid sky, after much prayer. We decided to house hunt. We found this cute little 3 bedroom home in the heart of Lemon Grove. We have always liked Lemon Grove and are happy to return. It is 4 miles east from Beck Hill. It has all that we need a craft room and a guest room. The kitchen is workable and has lots of space and a garage for Ernie. Plus a nice size yard fro his garden and for the Tata to play in. It is close to shopping and the trolley.

That is good just in case we want to ride it to Mexico or games or downtown.

Lots of parking and a place for Ernie to put the Razorback Hogs at Christmas.

Earlier if they are winning.

The new address is 8107 Palm St. Lemon Grove, CA 91945. We are going to attend the Sweetwater Ward

Palm is the dividing line. If we found a house on the other side of the street we could stay in the Lemon Grove Ward. Right now the wards are shrinking so I don’t think it will be long and we will be together again. What ever the Lord plans is what we will do. We looked at homes for months and are thankful that our agents didn’t go nuts. The escrow was crazy and took 3 months. I am thankful that Ernie served in the service so that we could use a VA loan. Let me tell you the Escrow companies and listing agents really didn’t treat a vet nice at all. It was hard to get an offer accepted. We have a new phone number because we moved from the city to the county 619.303.5017.

We are about 7 miles east of downtown and the train station. Lemon Groves boasts the best climate on earth.

Many of the Diaz kids attended school in this neighborhood. It is nice to be back. Even though it seems we are at the other house a lot helping Sid paint and update it for rent. I have received a few calls hoping to be able to rent it out. Uncle Jeddy is trilled that we are no longer living on the side a cliff as he puts it.

We are gearing up for the first of many parties in our back yard. I have a pampered Chef coming up and a baby shower already. Not to mention a house warming sometime. There are many to thank for helping us get into the new house. Kathy and Erica who never gave up. They were great. Those who helped us get paint on the walls and get rid of the cape cod grey blue walls. Those who helped us pack and move, those who helped refinish the wood floors back to glory.

So as you can see we are now full partners of this home and I believe that Ernie has a wonderful weekend hobby.  And a place for a new garden.  I hope you follow along as we in bark on this new chapter in our lives....
