July Blast

Okay so July was crazy.  It started with company we love it, July 3rd Dante came through and then July 4th Angel and kids came to San Diego.  What a fun time, we haven't seen the Kelsey Klan since 2003.  Angel took care of Ryan while he was in college. Whenever he was sick or needed a real meal she made sure he was taken care of. The Kelsey's also helped to keep his spirit in check.
    I am so thankful to her and her family for the joy, support and love that they gave to Ryan. I believe that everyone needs a little Angel in their life to give them extra love. I pray that I can do that for someone else. I have been given that love from others and to honor that I need to pay it forward.
   So the Kelsey's stayed for a few days and we enjoyed their company. Had a lot of good food and the pictures were fun. Fireworks that didn't shine so bright here in San Diego. And we discovered that you are never to old for sparklers.
    Then MFC Lisa and  Robert stopped in for a quick visit. Its always nice to see our family.
    Ernie came down with an illness, nothing major. But enough to get him to go to the Dr. He is not one to go. He is better and back in his feisty and eating self.
  Our Bizz (beck kid) had a surprise party and it was pulled off with every ones help. He was more then surprised. The trick was that he was going to go out to dinner with his Mother for his birthday, he was almost disappointed that he wasn't going out. But the food was great. The company was great.
     It was now time for the birthday girls weekend, but due to the fact that Moe is waiting to be a grandmother again we choose to stay in town to celebrate.
 So out to breakfast we went Hob Nob Hill. The food was oh so good. And the time together priceless.  We are starting to get settled in the new house. I am thinking it's time to plan a house warming. Details to follow on that.
    August brings more company  Alex and Matt are due to arrive on the first with all the kids. I will share those stories later ..

Beck Bunch Homestead

As many of you now know we have bought a new home. We are really going to miss our house on the hill. We didn’t plan this, however life happens and the trust is thinking about selling the houses on hill once Sid passes away. Our sweet Sid is now 95 years old. So as his sunsets and ours is still mid sky, after much prayer. We decided to house hunt. We found this cute little 3 bedroom home in the heart of Lemon Grove. We have always liked Lemon Grove and are happy to return. It is 4 miles east from Beck Hill. It has all that we need a craft room and a guest room. The kitchen is workable and has lots of space and a garage for Ernie. Plus a nice size yard fro his garden and for the Tata to play in. It is close to shopping and the trolley. That is good just in case we want to ride it to Mexico or games or downtown. Lots of parking and a place for Ernie to put the Razorback Hogs at Christmas. Earlier if they are winning. Mountian Fun

It's getting into Nov. And Ernie and took our trip to Oak Glen for apples. This year we took Milaeka with us. She really knows her apples. Even at 5 years old. It was a wonderful trip and yes the apples were great. We even brought home a bushal. Loads of shopping and fun. While we were gone, Katalina and Kimo had come to visit. They have sure grown up. They came back to San Diego to dance. Most of you will remember them coming to the Christmas Eve party and dancing for us. I sure miss the K Kids. It's hard to believe that are now almost all out of high school. Then after Katalina and Kimo flew back to Mo. Ernie and I took off for Big Bear Lake. No phones and lots of rest. We did manage to have dinner with Heather and Jon Teysko. What a fun time laughing with them. This was the first time we were able to hang out with them since they got married. The 25 Th anniversary cruise began on Saturday Feb 7 Th . When we arrived on board we went up to the Lido deck to eat. As I was walking across the restaurant , I heard my name and to my surprise there was Shay and Debra. We met them last year on our last cruise. Ernie and I were so surprised and delighted. Also joining us were Bill and Cindy Teysko . They are wonderful and dear friends for the last 20 years. So the begins, Day one dancing and song and fun had just began. Day two Ernie and Bill let Cindy and I sleep in while they walked around the deck of the ship. I did get some time out by the pool and in the sun. Then it was off to Name that tune and Sports Trivia. Country line dancing and the marriage game. We all dressed up for dinner and can I just say Yum. The next day we arrived in Cabo San Lucas, We took the Land and Sea tour; Off on a boat we went to see the arches and lovers beach. To Land's End.
