November to early December
So here we are into December. The house is almost ready for Christmas Ernie has to finish putting up the lights. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We drove to West Covina to share the holiday with our family.
Its always a good time at Aunt Honey's house. It was really good to be able to spend time with everyone and to see Cynthia and John together. The last time we saw them together was 1992 July 4th. So its been awhile. John works hard running that business that he doesn't leave New York often,
It was a great visit. Gabby is dating a young man named Ryan whom we all met. Its nice to see them all growing up and adding more love to our family.
It was nice to see Michael and Martha, even though they live in San Diego we don't get to see them often.
Then on the Saturday after Thanksgiving we cooked up another bird and shared it with all our kids and the missionaries.
Then we got down to putting up Christmas around the house. Since we are having our first Christmas in this house there was allot of thought into where things would go.
The tree was the first thing up and then all the Santa's. Ryan asked me to take pictures so that next year we would remember where everything goes. I take down almost all the pictures in our living room and replace them with something Christmas.
The few things that stay up is our picture of Christ and the Temple. Since they go with the season.
I have finished the hopingand thanks to all the elves that helped out I think I have everything wrapped up. Now its time to get to the baking and candy making. And then to be ready for our big party of the year (the Almost Christmas Eve Party) We do this party either the Saturday before Christmas or Dec 23rd. depending on the calender.
This year it will be Dec 23rd. I am looking forward to our first Holiday Season in the new house. I know that Ernie is excited he has his hogs out on the front lawn and they are all a glow. I am just hoping that there is not a crash out side on the street.
We are thankful for all the blessings that have come our way through out the year and I pray that your families will be blessed also. I hope that as you are on line that you might check in on this blog and keep up with our little corner of the family.
