March Madness

Well March started out with my Dad and Sandi coming for a visit.
    They arrived on Thursday, we rested from the long long trip from NM and to help the dogs get used to the new house.  
  Friday morning I had nothing planned so we kind of hung out most of the morning since it was about 80 degrees we decided to head to Coronado and enjoy the beauty of San Diego. After a small lunch we went to pick up a cake and the dinner for that night. We have been in the new house now for a year and had dinner on the patio with Kathy and Erica and baby Kenlee.
    After a nice evening and a good nights sleep the parents spend Saturday at the OB Kite Festival.
     We had the  family over for a small potluck on Sunday night and the parents headed to Aunt Honey's place on Monday. 
       Ernie and I enjoyed an afternoon watching the MAD CHAPS dance, Ryan did some choreography for the group. This years theme was the movies and Ryan had the boys dancing  to the fun guy flicks risky business and top gun. They even wore flight suits from the air force. Of course the boys really enjoyed theirr time with him. 
        It was a fun show for charity. I am happy to see Ryan be able to give back and do something that he really enjoys. Hopefully next year he will be able to do it again.
    The rest of the month just kind of went on by. We had a nice dinner with Moe and Bob and Family for Good Friday.
      Ryan had a nice Easter dinner with us on the  following Sunday. Ernie caught some kind of an illness and he is now feeling better. 
    We got the news that Ernie's father Ernest is now with Hospice his Parkinson's has now taken over his body and most of his mind.  Prayer is the only thing we can do now. I know that we will going to Arkansas at some time.  There are many things coming up in April. Time Out for Women and Rodney and Karen coming to town.  This year it seems we have had allot of company and our home is over flowing with love.
    I know that we are thankful for family and friends that fill our hearts with joy and love.

Beck Bunch Homestead

As many of you now know we have bought a new home. We are really going to miss our house on the hill. We didn’t plan this, however life happens and the trust is thinking about selling the houses on hill once Sid passes away. Our sweet Sid is now 95 years old. So as his sunsets and ours is still mid sky, after much prayer. We decided to house hunt. We found this cute little 3 bedroom home in the heart of Lemon Grove. We have always liked Lemon Grove and are happy to return. It is 4 miles east from Beck Hill. It has all that we need a craft room and a guest room. The kitchen is workable and has lots of space and a garage for Ernie. Plus a nice size yard fro his garden and for the Tata to play in. It is close to shopping and the trolley. That is good just in case we want to ride it to Mexico or games or downtown. Lots of parking and a place for Ernie to put the Razorback Hogs at Christmas. Earlier if they are winning. The 25 Th anniversary cruise began on Saturday Feb 7 Th . When we arrived on board we went up to the Lido deck to eat. As I was walking across the restaurant , I heard my name and to my surprise there was Shay and Debra. We met them last year on our last cruise. Ernie and I were so surprised and delighted. Also joining us were Bill and Cindy Teysko . They are wonderful and dear friends for the last 20 years. So the begins, Day one dancing and song and fun had just began. Day two Ernie and Bill let Cindy and I sleep in while they walked around the deck of the ship. I did get some time out by the pool and in the sun. Then it was off to Name that tune and Sports Trivia. Country line dancing and the marriage game. We all dressed up for dinner and can I just say Yum. The next day we arrived in Cabo San Lucas, We took the Land and Sea tour; Off on a boat we went to see the arches and lovers beach. To Land's End. Mountian Fun

It's getting into Nov. And Ernie and took our trip to Oak Glen for apples. This year we took Milaeka with us. She really knows her apples. Even at 5 years old. It was a wonderful trip and yes the apples were great. We even brought home a bushal. Loads of shopping and fun. While we were gone, Katalina and Kimo had come to visit. They have sure grown up. They came back to San Diego to dance. Most of you will remember them coming to the Christmas Eve party and dancing for us. I sure miss the K Kids. It's hard to believe that are now almost all out of high school. Then after Katalina and Kimo flew back to Mo. Ernie and I took off for Big Bear Lake. No phones and lots of rest. We did manage to have dinner with Heather and Jon Teysko. What a fun time laughing with them. This was the first time we were able to hang out with them since they got married.
