It's time for closure

The new year has been a surprise I took the Real Estate exam and missed by one. I am not a good test taker.  At the office we hired a new COO and get downsized us all.  So I am looking for a new opportunity. As I am on the hunt I am working part time.    I am blessed to have this position. It allows me to look for something wonderful and not be in the poor house. Sometimes you have to just stay strong and and have faith.  Faith in the middle of the trail.  I know that the blessing will come and I just have to wait for it.      That is how life is, Ryan is doing well and his photography business is growing. And he is still teaching dance.  Ernie has put in his garden for the year. We had a wonderful  birthday celebration for him.      The time has come for our family to meet at Hawley Lake and spread the ashes of both Dad and Ma.  There will be pictures to follow. As of now that is the news.

2017 has moved on

The years are going by faster and faster and I am not keeping up well at all.   This past year has  been busy. Ernie and I started the new year with me at a new job and Ernie working a temp job.  For this job a real estate license is required and lots of hours studying. Ernie and I got new calling s to serve I the nursery. There are only two kiddos right now.   We decided to go to Disneyland and celebrate Dad's Birthday and Ernie's . It was really his way of keeping me busy when my heart was so heavy. Thank goodness we buy these kind of thing way in advance.  So off we went and make sure to be busy and smile. One of the areas we made sure to visit was the Tikki room. Dad didn't really like it. But it made me think of him anyway.            I am taking classes for real estate and there is a lot to learn, it seems that I would know some since I have been working in a Real Est...

What a year? So happy it is done

I can hardly believe that another year has passed and I have been so bad at posting. The end of 2015 just zipped right on past.   Then came 2016 and boy what a year.  Ernie and I started the year feeling good about where our life was. And you know that is when it all goes crazy.  February  and Ernie lost his job. It has been the  worst and the hardest time ever to find a new job.  I went to TOFW in March and came back to work to be laid off after 13 years. Shocked is all I can say.     Ernie and I had a vacation planned so off we went to Jamaica with our cruising buddies Sam and Karen Cook. It was a wonderful trip and time to regroup and think about what we needed to do.    We also met a cousin that we didn't know and they stayed with us. They also had joined the LDS Church.  So that was fun to find out.  We took off and spend some time in the Temple.  Where we found peace that the Lord was with us and that al...

Summer has Zipped by

Well here it is almost done that is another summer. Lets see what has been going on, Ryan is no longer dating and just building the photography business.  (1000 words photography By Ryan Orion Beck)  just in case you would like to check it out.   Ernie and I went on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera in April and May. We ended our trip with a few days at Disneyland.  I know we are never growing up.   Then we got ready to attend the family reunion in Santa Barbara.  With Ernie working graveyard shifts its hard to get to places on Saturdays, but we work it.  We drove up early in the morning and hit all kinds of traffic but that is LA.  Got to be with the family and so happy that we make that effort to attend. Loads of laughs and pictures later. And drove back to San Diego.  We stopped to have a little dinner with Dawn, Evan and Heather. Then back to the Freeway, no traffic on the way home.     Then July 4th and the fair...

It's Spring already, What happened?

Okay so the year has passed so quick. Ryan is doing a lot more picture taking and dating a nice woman named Natalie. Dante was working in a show in Vegas for the last 6 months of the year. He is now back in LA.  Ernie is working crazy overtime in 2015. It's almost like I live along, thank goodness we make sure to talk every day.   So the year is off to a fast start for Valentines Day we took off for the day and drove to Yuma AZ. What the heck? There is a lot of cool stuff in Yuma, who knew? We had a nice breakfast at the Cracker Barrel and then went shopping to walk around a bit.  I found a few new stores and I am now a fan. We may have to come here more often during shopping hours. We found a great place to stay from the early 1900's "The Adobe House".   We are enjoying our Anniversary this year and birthdays. Ernie and I are looking forward to seeing the MADCAPS Show that Ryan helped choreograph.  That show was wonderful we are so proud of all he has do...

Wow I have not kept up at all.

Hello,    I was really going to try and be better at keeping up the blog.  And here it is Sept. So that didn't seem to work out so well.  Let me go back to Feb.     Ernie and I took the bucket list trip and went on a cruise to Jamaica. The trip was so fun we met some wonderful people at dinner. Karen and Sam, Teresa and Doug, Rebecca and Max.  What a great group for dinner. Every evening was fun and new exciting to find out what everyone did every day. We celebrated our 30th anniversary on this trip.   We flew in to Florida and stayed at a Rodeway Inn in Ft Lauderdale. (never again at this motel) It was not great service at all.   We left the next morning on our trip and enjoyed Key West FL. We found a great tea and spice shop. A wonderful chili and hot sauce place.  Toured a museum. And then back to the Ship. The next day we walked around Grand Cayman Island. Did a little shopping and back to the...

What happened to December

Wow where did time go?  It seems that I just updated this blog and the month is gone.   December started out fine then Ernie caught a bad cold and in true marriage fashion shared it with me.  I was able to spend a few days with Kress and help her with some Dr stuff. It's always a blessing to help a friend.  I tried to catch Kim but I missed her so I will try again. Thank you to Dante and eLBe for hosting me one night.      We were both sick for the first half of the month.  Our almost Christmas Eve party went off pretty good. I think that starting in the afternoon is so much better. There was lots to eat and good fun to be had.      We had a quiet Christmas and a nice family dinner. It was just great to spend that time with Ryan.            Ernie decided that he needed to change in his job, he had interviewed for a different company and after lots of prayer felt that he...
