Friends and resturants

It all started on 8/8/08:
We went to a great party for Moe's birthday (I am sad to report I have no pictures) But we had a wonderful time, lots of good food, dancing and fun.
We enjoyed seeing old friends and catching up on new stories and old.
We missed some friends that couldn't make it. The night was great. What a job the girls did.
Then 8/13 we got together with Moe and Bob and David for Debbie's birthday. There are pictures of that . What a wonderful time we had in that resturant. Good food and Friends. What a great meal. Debbie was surprised to see us all there. (don't mess it up Debbie's birthday is really on the 14th. this was just the best day to get together.) There was talking and laughing and eating. Oh yeah and presents. Great Cake.
Well summer is moving along and we needed together with Jovaune before he went back to Ohio. So on the 20th we had dinner out at Phil's.
It seems by the pictures that J liked the food. It's hard getting this group together. Kim and Rachel and Ernie and I . I think I spend most of the month getting small parties together. After dinner we went to Ocean Beach and walked on the sand and chatted in the water. I sure hope that they can all join us on the cruise that we have planned in Feb.
Then I went to Tucson for the weekend, pictures to follow. The last weekend of the month. We took Evan to Sea World. What a way to see the shows through the eyes of an 18 month old. He was so fun and Ernie and I were able to hang out a little with Uncle Billy and Lillie. Yes there will be pictures. We even managed to get some things done around the house.
On a sad note, Ernie finally send his Red truck to a new home. He had that truck for about 16 years and it was been sitting for the last five. With the price of gas ( 8 miles to the gallon). Ernie decided to sent to Father Joe to help in job training and to see a new life rise up from an old friend. More then Ernie were sad about this even our neighbors were sad. We all stood and watched as it left it's home.
Sept is getting ready to begin and we have some fun plans. Let's see what happens. I am sure I'll blog it.

Beck Bunch Homestead

As many of you now know we have bought a new home. We are really going to miss our house on the hill. We didn’t plan this, however life happens and the trust is thinking about selling the houses on hill once Sid passes away. Our sweet Sid is now 95 years old. So as his sunsets and ours is still mid sky, after much prayer. We decided to house hunt. We found this cute little 3 bedroom home in the heart of Lemon Grove. We have always liked Lemon Grove and are happy to return. It is 4 miles east from Beck Hill. It has all that we need a craft room and a guest room. The kitchen is workable and has lots of space and a garage for Ernie. Plus a nice size yard fro his garden and for the Tata to play in. It is close to shopping and the trolley. That is good just in case we want to ride it to Mexico or games or downtown. Lots of parking and a place for Ernie to put the Razorback Hogs at Christmas. Earlier if they are winning. Mountian Fun

It's getting into Nov. And Ernie and took our trip to Oak Glen for apples. This year we took Milaeka with us. She really knows her apples. Even at 5 years old. It was a wonderful trip and yes the apples were great. We even brought home a bushal. Loads of shopping and fun. While we were gone, Katalina and Kimo had come to visit. They have sure grown up. They came back to San Diego to dance. Most of you will remember them coming to the Christmas Eve party and dancing for us. I sure miss the K Kids. It's hard to believe that are now almost all out of high school. Then after Katalina and Kimo flew back to Mo. Ernie and I took off for Big Bear Lake. No phones and lots of rest. We did manage to have dinner with Heather and Jon Teysko. What a fun time laughing with them. This was the first time we were able to hang out with them since they got married. The 25 Th anniversary cruise began on Saturday Feb 7 Th . When we arrived on board we went up to the Lido deck to eat. As I was walking across the restaurant , I heard my name and to my surprise there was Shay and Debra. We met them last year on our last cruise. Ernie and I were so surprised and delighted. Also joining us were Bill and Cindy Teysko . They are wonderful and dear friends for the last 20 years. So the begins, Day one dancing and song and fun had just began. Day two Ernie and Bill let Cindy and I sleep in while they walked around the deck of the ship. I did get some time out by the pool and in the sun. Then it was off to Name that tune and Sports Trivia. Country line dancing and the marriage game. We all dressed up for dinner and can I just say Yum. The next day we arrived in Cabo San Lucas, We took the Land and Sea tour; Off on a boat we went to see the arches and lovers beach. To Land's End.
